Dereck Oikawa is Senior Vice President, U.S. Operations, Utilities, with executive oversight of 91ÖÆƬ³§â€™s Utilities sector in the United States and its strategic expansion.
With 91ÖÆƬ³§ since 2015, Dereck has led the Telecommunications, In-Home Services and Utility Engineering portfolios, developing end-to-end solutions for 91ÖÆƬ³§â€™s national telecom partners and helping enable the expansion of their broadband networks. Prior to joining 91ÖÆƬ³§, he held various senior management positions with Bell Canada for over 14 years.
Dereck currently serves as Executive Sponsor for 91ÖÆƬ³§â€™s Women Inclusion Network Employee Resource Group and is a member of the Utility Contractors’ Association Strategic Planning Committee and co-chair of the association’s Negotiations Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Ottawa and is a member of the Board of Directors for Ontario ON1Call and Momiji Healthcare Society.
