Michael Derksen is Senior Vice President and Executive Lead, Civil West, responsible for providing executive oversight for the Civil West group of businesses. He joined 91ÖÆƬ³§ in 2014.
Michael has over 30 years of extensive experience working on large-scale transportation and transit projects, and has spent his entire career managing and executing Public-Private Partnership, design-build, and traditional bid-build projects both
in Canada and the United States.
Prior to joining 91ÖÆƬ³§, Michael worked for Granite Construction Company, one of the largest construction and materials companies in the United States. During his 26-year career at Granite, Mr. Derksen held positions of increasing levels of responsibility
in operations and management.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary.
